Decided to go ahead and elaborate on this one a bit. Played around with some stencilwork. I moved the ear back slightly and thickened her lava-wrist up a bit.

So here's a backlog of sketches and stuff from the past couple weeks. Sickness and work and Brawl have kept me from posting stuff online and replying to peoples forums. Colds suck...they suck hard. I'm behind in everything now. > Neutral

So I finally got to finishing that work I was doing, so here's an update. The painting of Beo is coming along nicely but I don't know what to throw into the background yet. Any suggestions? Also, for the sword enthusiasts, that's a spadroon.

There are also some pirate pics and a robot of some variety. I decided to try inking the pirates, to see if I had gotten any better at it...nope...still got to work on that.

Do you ever get around to coloring these? I am curious now why you commented on mine. Most of your work is anime, if that is what you mean?

I really, really suck at color. I'm still practicing with it and I'm trying to get it. Until then, it's all B/W for me.

Anime? No, I don't think I'm drawing anime. I'm probably closer to american comic books than anime. By anime, I guess I mean less stylizing of the face to match the BESM (Big Eyes, Small Mouth) style.

Well, I am real impressed with your style, real or manga. I think you should start coloring. It would really make you characters POP! I think I have found myslef between the two, not really manga and not really real.

At least your understanding about my crits. I gave one on an image board and told the person not to draw so manga-y and I got yelled at for it.

The main reason I say that, is westerns can't really get work drawing that style unless they're really, really, really, really, really great. Like, Adam Warren level of drawing skill. It's usually easy to just let the style go. It'll help in getting noticed as an artist and in avoiding being lumped in with the "weebo" internet anime fan artist. The kind of "artist" who sits around drawing Inuyasha fanart and whines when someone gives them a crit.

So I started a webcomic, which is one of the things that's taking up my time and preventing me from posting tons of sketches on a regular basis.

Although, if you check my blog, I did post sketches, which I'll post here later, it just requires an extra step because this site doesn't have an attachment thingie.

It's about art, nerds, artnerds, junk, stuff, etc. I'll be updated it every Monday and Thursday, including a bit of commentary. The other thing about it, is I'm asking some people to submit comics of their own

I found an image on the interwebs that had a halftone pattern over it with this color scheme. So I copied it...er...I used it as inspiration for this one.
